Heavy duty seat cover, not for seats with seatbelts

This Dickies bench seat cover is made to be durable and water resistant, and is designed to cover bench seats that don't include seatbelts (which isn't mentioned in the online description at Amazon even though a large percentage of rear bench seats do have seatbelts). It's not hard to install over the seat. The surface is thick, like a canvas, not soft. When new it has an unpleasant chemical odor since it's 100% polyester. I would prefer a natural fabric like hemp that doesn't outgas a synthetic smell. This cover is good for protecting the seat but it doesn't have a smooth feel and can't be kept covering seats where people will sit and use seat belts. Thus, it has limitations that make it less versatile than I'd expected. It's OK for some people but I'd prefer something else.

Decent for a non-tailored seat cover

If you take into consideration that this is a universal product, made of durable/tough canvas-like material, you won't be disappointed for the price. Our dilemma was since we own a truck, there's no trunk, and sometimes you want to keep things inside the cab, even when they're not-so-clean. I installed this product in the back seat of a 4-door 2008 Toyota Tacoma. It's perfect for just keeping the seats clean when throwing in a pair of snow boots or work equipment that we don't want sliding around the truck bed. It wouldn't be the greatest seat cover for 2-legged passengers, as there aren't holes for seatbelts and the fabric isn't exactly the most comfortable thing to sit on. Considering the price, especially the Amazon price, if you just need something to protect your seats from wet and dirty objects, this is a great deal. If you want a more versatile, tailored fit product, look at other options.

Didn't fit either rear bench in my cars

Maybe it would work best for a pick up truck's bench seat? I tried in both of my Nissans, one of which is a minivan with triple head rests, and it didn't fit at all. It said it would fit seats with headrests, so I had hope. Nope! I had issues too with seat belt placement as it was really a stretch to get in the correct spot to have access to latch a seat belt. The other thing that you might want to know is that if you have a third seatbelt, you won't get a good fit either.

On the smaller Nissan, I had issues with seatbelt placement not being conducive to getting a tight fit. The seat actually isn't free standing and I tried (in van) to get the elastic to snap around the seat somehow, but it was a no go.

I don't have a pick up to try it in, but I truly think ideally this would be a best fit for that.

I also wasn't a fan of the texture. It was a bit rough!
